ABOUT OUR FIRM

Every Law firm has a founding story. Ours Started in a Classroom!
The Legist Auxiliary was built in 2007 by two friends from the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, with a belief that they've carried since their first year of law school:
"That the best advocates never forget they're fighting for a person, not just a case"

ACHIEVEMENTS
1
One Landlord Multiple Needs - Delhi HC Clarifies The "Bonafide Doctrine"
We successfully represented the Landlord before the Hon'ble Delhi HC, securing an eviction order while obtaining significant judicial clarity on bona fide requirement under Section 14(1)(e) of the DRC Act. Establishing that a landlord's genuine need cannot be discredited merely because a family member is employed elsewhere, and that the same individual may have distinct bona fide needs for separate properties. This landmark judgment reinforces the principle that bona fide intent must be assessed contextually rather than mechanically.
2
Job Security Isn't Disability Recovery: Delhi HC Awards ₹41.79 Lakh for Career & Maternal Harm
We secured a ₹41.79 lakh enhancement in motor accident compensation before the Delhi High Court. Establishing that retaining a job does not negate functional disability—the Court revised disability from 10% to 60%, recognising the long-term impact on career mobility and future earnings. We also secured compensation for psychiatric and reproductive harm suffered due to foetal loss, affirming that a mother’s personal injury claim extends beyond physical disability. This landmark judgment sets a precedent for holistic assessment of accident victims’ losses.

What is Common Intention? SC Grants Bail in a Tragic Twist of Fate
We secured bail from the Supreme Court of India for a 35-year-old daily wage labourer and mother of two, who had been in custody for nearly ten months on charges of murder. The accused had rushed to the spot solely to stop a fight, and the death was an unintended tragic consequence of circumstances beyond her control. The SC, appreciating the human reality behind the case, granted bail with remarkable promptitude, allowing her to reunite with her children while facing trial. This pro bono matter stands as a reminder that justice, at its finest, is rooted in compassion and a careful appreciation of facts.
